I've wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. Aside from my serious lack of mathematical skills and less-than-thrilled attitude toward history class, there were countless other reasons I was so certain of my passion at such a young age - the number one being that I simply loved to create using the written word.
This passion guided me through high school and my higher education. I began writing and editing pieces for my community college newspaper, and I loved it so much that I became a blogger for a lifestyle website.
I then ventured to NYC to intern at Dr. Oz The Good Life, where I fell head over heels for the magazine industry. When I finished up college I worked as an Editorial Assistant for GoodHousekeeping.com and HouseBeautiful.com, and I now pursue freelance work on a full-time basis, in addition to my newest (and most favorite) role as a new mom!
I am a firm believer that writing is a true craft. It requires a definitive skill set, along with a working knowledge and constant awareness of the growing trends, topics and ever-changing world of media around us.
Great writing should challenge, inspire and above all, leave a lasting impact on every reader. I work hard to meet this standard with every project I take on, big or small.
